Foxwood Minstrel enjoying red jersey in Ballymac Tipp @ Stud & D.G.O.B.A 525 Round 1 Heat 2 at Harold?s Cross
Foxwood Minstrel has been given red jacket for the second time in his career. On his sole outing from this box in November 2011, the dark brindle dog could not spark.
The son of Duke Special is unlikely to miss the opportunity this time at Harold?s Cross, where he will be seen in the Ballymac Tipp @ Stud & D.G.O.B.A 525 Round 1 Heat 2 on Friday, October 12, 2012.
After three consecutive wins, the skilful hound unfortunately lost his rhythm, and finished at bottom of the chart in late August. It was certainly an awful loss for him, as he completely failed to make any impression.
Despite an embarrassing loss, he did not lose confidence, and returned to form quickly. Foxwood Minstrel was mighty impressive on his latest trip. In a 550 yards contest at the start of this month, the big fellow performed superbly, but remained a bit unlucky, missing the gold only by a short head?s distance.
Having returned to form in a tremendous fashion, he is in a good position, and can win today?s battle with a lot of ease. The draw is another mega plus for him. His chances of getting crowded after leaving the first trap are slim, and if he takes an early advantage, he will surely be able to grab the victory.
Among his rivals are: Rathdaniel King, Cha Cha, Nickys Boy, Imaal Slaney and Mickmo Boy. The proceedings will be started at 20:55 GMT. Just like the other first-round heats, the winner of this meeting will get 75 pounds as reward.
Nickys Boy is stepping down in class after facing three terrible defeats at the A1 level. An improvement is possible, but not a winning one. Imaal Slaney was triumphant on his previous outing here, and can play a major role today.
Mickmo Boy is not in a good state after completing the order of finish. Similar is the case with Rathdaniel King. Cha Cha is also going through a bad spell. The black bitch was disappointing on her last two trips.
